The exhibition introduces visitors to the life and work of architect and builder Dominik Fey (1863-1950), who linked his professional career with his work in the region of south-east Moravia. Fey's buildings, for example, significantly influenced the shape of the slowly transforming Zlín at the end of the 19th century – the building of the pawnshop and the burgher school. The register of his work was wide. It ranged from eclectic architecture – the building of the town hall in Napajedlice, to works reflecting Jurkovič's Art Nouveau – his own house Na Tůni in Uh. Hradiště. Fey also possessed a deep knowledge of Baroque morphology, which he used in his work, for example at the Buchlovice Castle. The exhibition is held on the occasion of the 700th anniversary of the city of Zlín.
