The exhibition from the free cycle, in which figures of Czech literature meet in connection with the visual arts, is this time devoted to the life and work of Karel Čapek. It mainly presents the writer's manuscripts together with small drawings and sketches from his travels. The exhibition is accompanied by paintings and drawings by Karl's brother Josef Čapek, manuscripts by Olga Scheinpflugová. Letters addressed to Karel Čapek are also be exhibited, together with written references to the lives of other classics. The exhibition is supplemented by the works of contemporary painters – Věra Nováková and Tomáš Císařovský – with their own view of Karel Čapek's personality.
