Poets in the Space Zlín

Poets in Prostor Zlín is an annual June series of poetry readings by Czech and Slovak poets, organised by the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín since 2010.

Each event combines a poetry reading with a musical performance and is introduced by leading Czech literary scholars and historians. The series is also often accompanied by other gallery programmes, including Derniéry (Finissages) and occasional autumn evenings that bring literary and visual art into particularly close dialogue. These standalone events are presented under the subtitle Orpheus’s Blood Portrait.

Since the series began, the gallery has welcomed almost one hundred notable figures from the Czech and Slovak cultural scene.
